Cameras
Technically, a Wimba Live Classroom conference does not have to include video. A Wimba Live Classroom conference can consist of audio with data collaboration. For those who want to include video, below is a list of recommended camera models:

Recommended Cameras
Brand
Model
Apple
iSight
Creative
Live! Cam Video IM Pro, Live! Cam Voice, WebCam Live! Motion, WebCam Live! Ultra
ecamm
iMage webcam
Logitech
Orbit MP, Pro 3000, Pro 4000, Pro 5000, QuickCam Express, QuickCam Fusion, QuickCam Messenger, QuickCam Notebook Deluxe
Microsoft
LifeCam NX-6000, LifeCam VX-1000

If your computer comes with a built in camera, you can use that.
Webcams with a built-in microphone are NOT recommended as it will cause various audio quality problems.

Note: When installing a webcam, users should navigate to the webcam manufacturer's website and download the most recent software for the camera, rather than using the software that comes packaged with the camera. This will ensure that the most up-to-date software is installed.

Headset Microphones
Wimba recommends using headsets with built in microphones instead of the built in microphone that may come with your computer.
A headset microphone with a mouthpiece is preferred. Here are a few other points to consider when purchasing a headset:
• Model/Brand - Since manufacturers switch models quickly, we recommend a headset from an established brand such as Logitech (Logitech Labtec Stereo 342), Platronics (Plantronics DSP 500) or Radio Shack
• Check that it has a volume adjustment and a mute feature.
• Jack inputs are preferred over a USB. Some USB headsets are incompatible with some computer's audio devices, and may cause the system audio to become muted.
• Price range will vary with brand and model, anything ranging from $20 - $50.
